Well we’re back from Q.C. and it was a great trip. So much food and wine, I think I put on 40 lbs while there. It’s ok I’m married now so that makes it all good. Right? The only downer was the train ride.
Not only was it 8 hours long VIA Rail supplied us the most ghetto train with no baggage car for the trip from Toronto to Montreal. That’s right carry on only! It was dirty with broken seats, to be frank it made the TTC look like first class. Honestly, I would rather have ridden the subway for the 5 hour leg of the trip than this tin can. To continue with my rant, VIA in their ininite wisdom decides they will supply this tubular heap for the bulk of the journey and give us the newer and comfier train, complete with baggage car for the 3 hour leg from Montreal to Quebec City. I see the logic don’t you?
With all the transportation woes Q.C. made up for it ten fold. What a beautiful city with so much art, culture and architecture. We stayed in an amazing boutique hotel in the lower city right near the St. Laurent called the Dominion 1912. I strongly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Vieux Quebec. Great staff, amazing service, and all the right fine details to make the stay amazing. We did some shopping and sightseeing, walked all around lower and upper town not forgetting to indulge in local fare and spirits. One of the highlights for me was our Brunch Cruise of the St. Laurent. A really good buffet, and amazing views! It was a guided tour with some information about the whole region historical and current. But the scenery was the show for me. I wish we had more time to spend there.
On another note I’ve been informed that our proofs will be ready either this week or next. Once I have some samples I will post them for all to see. Also if any one has any albums or shots from the wedding they would like me to post please email me here hitched2007@gmail.com
Cheers!

wow, who’s the delinquint blogger in this relationship? (me, me!)
The bachelorette was awesome. unforgettable. Thank you to all of you girls for an amazing sendoff into married life. Also, thank you to the Royal York for not kicking us out of the hotel room after some rowdy behaviour at 5:30 in the morning!
Yesterday was quite a busy day, as we had to package all of the bonbonierres. This involved a complicated assembly line with hole-punchers, all-purpose glue, ribbon cutters, tag-threaders and more. We couldn’t have got it done without everyone’s help so thanks to: Mom, Aunt Shirley, Savita, Aunt Nirmala, Aunt Leila ,Taryn, Clare, Sonya, Mira and last but not least Persis, the fastest tag-threader around!
In the days coming up, we’ve got some serious dress steaming and shoe breaking-in to do, but other than that, it seems the worst is over for the most part.
We’ll see you all on Sunday. It will be a hot one – 27 degrees and all sun!

So here we go the final countdown, just have to remember to breathe!
See you all very very soon.

Traffic:
Well this weekend we made a trip up the 400 North to The Manor for our final details appointment with the venue. That is when we noticed something, the traffic on a long weekend was horrendous! A 45 minute drive took us an hour and 40 minutes. So I say this to all our lovely guest, leave early! The ceremony that was scheduled to run at 3:30pm on Saturday had only 30 guest out of 100 and no Officiant to marry them. If you do run into trouble coming from the south, get off the 400 and head up Weston Rd. It’s a nice scenic drive and a nice alternate.
Hotels:
Check in times: I know they say it’s 3pm but they have “Unofficially” told me guests for the wedding can check in before 3pm. They can’t guarantee it, but rooms for weddings are prepared first that day.
Just a reminder yo book your hotels, it’s a long weekend and they might fill up! Here’s where we reserved blocks of rooms under Beharry/Brain wedding.

Hey all,
I know its been awhile since I’ve posted…It seems our lives have transitioned into full-fledged wedding mania. Only 27 days left!
There’s nothing like a long weekend to tie up some loose ends, so I’m going to post a shot of what Adam and I call “Gift Mountain”. It was compiled after both showers took place, and after much art direction, we managed to get everything into the shot…but I’m not sure it does the mountain justice. Thanks again to everyone for all their help and gifts- the transition to our apartment will be a lot easier thanks to all of you.
