How do you know the Bride and Groom?: We’re Cousins!

Favorite Memory: My favourite memory of Genny is when her, Nikhil(my brother), and I used to memorize the lyrics of Michael Jackson’s ‘Black or White’ ( our favourite singer and favourite song of all time) and dance in our Grandpa’s basement to it. We even knew every word of the rap part and everything about the music video.

How do you know the Bride and Groom?: I first met Adam when the worlds of Uxbridge and Port Perry collided circa 1996 and created the band Damaged Goods, and met Genevieve many years thereafter.

Favorite Memory: I don’t know if it can be considered a memory if I actually can’t remember it, but I love knowing that I said Genevieve was too girly the first time we met! How could such a timid, cute, nonabrasive girl date my friend Adam; my uncensored, loud-mouthed, strongly opinionated, enthusiast of all things punk-rock friend Adam. I have since learned that Genevieve is Adam’s match in wit and words and can be just as loud and strong in her convictions. I love our dance parties; I love our girls’ nights. Gen is my girly friend, she’s not too girly just girly enough!

How do you know the Bride and Groom?: I met Gen in highschool. She was the first friend I linked up with at Ajax High. “Oh my god, our schedules are the exact same, do you want to sit together in all our classes?” It was cute!

Favorite Memory: The trip to PEI. We danced the night away and blasted Jimi Hendrix and drove through Charlottetown in Gen’s dad’s jeep. When we got back to the cottage (after crying to Gen’s parents about how sorry we were for our tardy behaviour) our heads were so big they wouldn’t fit through the door. haha. Truly though, my favourite memories will still grow. Our conversations mean so much to the both of us. We continue to amuse one another with our shared sense of humour!

Position: The missing link… (The Out of Province Bridesmaid)

How do you know the Bride and Groom?: Adam made fun of me alot in highschool.. and ever since then…Genny was my polkaroo for the first 2 years she was dating Adam.

Favorite Memory: When I caught my polkaroo… and knew right away that my friend had chosen wisely.

Position: Bridesmaid/ Karma Advisor

How do you know the Bride and Groom?: Originally, I met young Adam by way of the great Canadian pastime; playing on my brother’s hockey team. Then later, during our high school years, as the loudest mouth among the Port Perry/Uxbridge crew. Then, thankfully, he met Genny and brought her into our lives, which is when I realized that his heart was as big as his mouth.

Favorite Memory: Too many. In general, laughing at all the bizarre things that Adam says, and wondering how such a sweet girl can get hooked up with such a nut; Hanging out with two people that are such a great couple, but also quite obviously such good friends; And, I suppose, all the times that Genny makes me think that it is not so bad to have friends that are girls.
